MEIDASTOUCH LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN TAKING ON TRAITORS WHO INCITED INSURRECTION

Progressive PAC Targeting Elected Officials & Candidates Who Inspired Domestic Terrorism at Capitol

LOS ANGELES, CA — A week after violent riots ravaged our nation’s Capitol, today MeidasTouch, a leading progressive Super PAC, launched a new campaign targeting leaders who incited the deadly insurrection. The effort is focused on holding members of Congress, and other elected officials throughout the country, accountable for their treasonous actions. Starting off the campaign is a series of billboards blasting Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, which will be placed in the D.C. Metro area. Additionally, the campaign will also include an interactive feature where anyone who has information about the identity of any of the insurrectionists can submit that intel to an online portal. Reacting to the launch of this new campaign, Brett Meiselas, one of the founders of the PAC, remarked: “While Donald Trump may be leaving office in a week, he leaves behind a Republican Party full of treasonous traitors eager to advance baseless election conspiracies used to foment violence, no matter the consequences. And these aren’t just fringe figures on the edges of the Republican Party, but mainstream Senators and Congressmembers. It is absolutely critical for the survival of our democracy that we hold every elected official accountable for their willing attempts to incite violence against their colleagues. That’s why we are starting our campaign by targeting the two biggest cheerleaders of the domestic terrorists: Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley. These cowardly Senators may try to minimize their violent actions as we move further away from the attack on our Capitol, but we’ll be there at every turn reminding Americans the truth of their traitorous actions.” This campaign comes on the heels of MeidasTouch's comprehensive effort to help flip Georgia blue, spending over $1 million on TV, radio, digital ads, billboards, texting, canvassing, and more through the January 5 election. MeidasTouch is a progressive Democratic PAC founded by three brothers, all lifelong Democrats, Ben Meiselas (35), Brett Meiselas (30), and Jordy Meiselas (27) during the quarantine. Ben is an accomplished civil rights litigator, entertainment dealmaker, and nonprofit leader. Brett is an Emmy Award-winning video editor, and Jordy is an award-winning marketing supervisor. MeidasTouch produced over 200 videos during the 2020 election which have been viewed more than half a billion times and have continued their efforts in Georgia with the same success. MeidasTouch has revolutionized political ad making and campaigns for the digital age and has amassed a following larger than any political action committee in the country.
