Progressive Super PAC Unveils Meidas Media Network With New Series From Heather Gardner
LOS ANGELES, CA — Today MeidasTouch, a leading progressive Super PAC, unveiled their first major original series with Heather Gardner, a longtime television host.
The "Divided State of America with Heather Gardner", which premieres today, is a weekly late-night show created by Heather and Loren Gardner that covers the American political landscape. New episodes will air every Thursday. It is the first series released with the Meidas Media Network, which launched earlier this week and will be producing original series, podcasts, and television shows and more.
When the quarantine sidelined television host Heather Gardner and her husband, executive producer Loren Gardner, the couple found a way to channel their frustration into a new form of political content that proved creative, comedic, and remarkably candid. A mix of political explainer videos, parody songs, skits, and even a sold-out children’s book catapulted the @Heathergtv brand to 400K followers and tens of millions of views across all social media platforms.
The husband and wife duo, in association with MediasTouch, are now taking their content to the next level by launching a late-night style series called “The Divided State of America with Heather Gardner.” The weekly show will dive deeper into the political landscape of America with a healthy dose of information and humor. Each episode will feature a variety of different segments per episode.
Most recently, Heather Gardner was the host of “Last Night’s Late Night by Entertainment Weekly,” on Quibi. She has also hosted series for HuffPost, Yahoo Entertainment, Hollyscoop, and has been featured on People, Rotten Tomatoes, AOL, The Young Turks, USA Today, and many more. Loren Gardner is a Marconi winning executive producer previously at Fox Sports Radio. He’s also produced podcasts for The New York Times and The Clinton Foundation.
Today’s announcement comes after the group recently launched the extraordinarily successful "MeidasTouch Podcast", now the number one podcast in North America per the PodBoard 100 charts. Recent guests have included Rep. Ted Lieu, Rep. Jimmy Gomez, Debra Messing, and Anthony Scaramucci.
